English historian and journalist Charles Alan Fyffes complete three volume illustrated study of the history of modern Europe, from 1792 to 1878.
During this period Europe saw much turmoil with the French Revolution, Napoleonic Wars, and the burgeoning Industrial Revolution. These volumes trace the history from the outbreak of the revolutionary war in 1792 to the Treaty of Berlin.
Volume I, 1792-1814, is illustrated with a frontispiece, two colour folding maps, and nine plates. Volume II, 1814-1848, is illustrated with a frontispiece and ten plates. Volume III, 1848-1878, is illustrated with a frontispiece and nine plates. Collated, complete.
With sixteen pages of publishers advertisements to the rear of each volume.
CONDITION
In the publishers original cloth bindings. Bumping to back strip heads and tails. Rear joints of volumes I and II lightly strained. Front joint of volume II and front and rear joints of volume III starting. All boards holding firm. Internally, generally firmly bound, though lightly strained to centre of volume II. Pages bright, with areas of spotting throughout each volume, most prominent to pages surrounding plates.
