Illustrated with a monochrome frontispiece, monochrome vignettes and one hundred and seven monochrome plates to the rear. Collated complete. 

In the publishers original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper. 

This interesting archaeological work was written in collaboration between Walter B. Emery, H. S. Smith and A. Millard and features an archaeological report on the Fortress of Buhen, an ancient Egyptian settlement on the West bank of the Nile below the Second Cataract in what is now the Northern State, Sudan. It provides architectural descriptions, archaeological commentary, the finds, the Buhen Horse, and more.


CONDITION

In the publishers original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally lovely. The wrap is excellent with minimal edge wear and minor handling marks with slight sunning to the spine and extremities. Internally firmly bound with clean and bright pages.
