DESIGN BY THE LEGENDARY HERMÈS ARTIST: PHILIPPE LEDOUX
An enormously gifted artist and illustrator whose creations can be enjoyed in the 90 carrés he created during his tenure at the design house, LeDoux was arguably one of the artists to leave the biggest impact on Maison Hermès, in particular, Hermès Carré.
This scarf is notably one of the most popular designs to come from LeDoux and by extension one of the most famous and recognizable designs by Hermès Carré. His illustrations of carriage springs was inspired by the famous early 19th century coach builder J. Fr. économies Tremblay. Interestingly, the miniature luxury coach featured at the center of this classic Hermès scarf portrays the coach designed for and commissioned by Carolina Bonaparte for the birth of her son to Napoleon. It is considered a masterpiece of French coach building.

I have not taken this to the dry cleaners yet. Trying to sell AS IS. Hence the discounted price. It once belonged to a very rich aunt. She was quite the social lite. I know she bought this in Paris because she lived there for many years. She hardly ever wore it. My guess is that it's AT LEAST 30 years old—if not older!
Selling AS IS. Numerous stains and markings from being stored for all these years. Too many to note. I've read great articles on how to best clean and but I'd rather not and leave it to someone who will truly enjoy this piece. Please look at pictures closely. If you need more message me. My pic limit is 12 for the listing but I can message you more.
