Anne Rugh Baker (Born 1930) is active/lives in California.Anne Baker is known for Folk art-semi abstraction.Ann Rugh Baker of Carmel Valley, California, was born in San Francisco in 1930. After moving to the Monterey Peninsula she met and married Eugene Ames Baker (also and artist). Rugh (the name she now paints under) studied at the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland. She paints in what can be called a "folk art", almost abstract, style. She produces images of early California, particularly the Monterey Peninsula, in this "folk" art manner. Her media is primarily acrylic. Rugh has been a long-time member of the Carmel Art Association. Her husband Eugene Baker is also a long time member.Rugh has had one man shows at the Carmel Art Association (1972), the Castle Gallery in Santa Cruz, and the Habitat Gallery in San Francisco. She has also participated in shows at the Lodi Grape Festival, and the Monterey County Fair.
