Lying at the crossroads of Europe, Ukraine économies struggles to forge an independent path between the West and Russia. So great is the conflict, a prominent theme in Ukraines history is freedom from foreign rule. The Wild Fields is a story about a man struggling to make the right decisions for himself and his family within the clandestine world of pro-Russian insurgents and pro-Ukrainian counterinsurgents in the war ravaged Donbas region of Ukraine, where the line is frequently blurred between good and evil.

Paul D. LeFavor retired from the US Army Special Forces in 2009 after twenty years of exemplary service. Paul had the distinct honor and privilege to serve with some of Americas best units to include the 1st, 3rd, 5th and 10th Special Forces Groups and Special Forces Operational Detachment - Delta. His civilian education includes a B.S. from Liberty University, a M.A. in Religion from Reformed Theological Seminary and a M.Div. from Liberty Theological Seminary. Among his many activities, Paul teaches leadership and unconventional warfare at the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School.
